Hekki, friend from Taiwan self-adopted by Finland got a new tele-objective. We then had a practice day on the Baltic Sea and Tallinn old town to play with this new toy.

Nikon 70-300

Having had fun with my old Minolta 70-210 I was as happy as my friend when he bought this new lens. Sharpness, zoom, colours, and look! That refresh my idea of having a little Tamron USD 😀

Not that he bought the lens from an Indian guy in a McDonalds… asian are trustful.

Pirita beach and hotel

We took bus to the best sea of Tallinn. Not many people on the beach but some children. I got a awesome truck digging in the sand.

Walking on the concrete line going on the water and closing the entrance of the sailing port we practised our skills with shutter speed priority. Mostly birds… only birds. I discovered that except the chromatic aberration my lens allows some good shots!

We then walked along the beach to see famous Pirita Hotel, large soviet structure that still seduces me.

Performances in old town

Arriving in the centre we keep playing on S-mode. There were many interesting people to catch: nearly naked girls, medieval dressed people, one asian dancer… all colourful and surrounded by tourists. Our 200mm and plus helped us 🙂
