For changing I went to the sea coast of Tallinn, not the harbour but on the beach. Pirita beach is important for me because I had there part of my best erasmus moments!
The last soviet building
To go to Pirita I had to take my bus in the financial district of Tallinn, I have seen the most sovietic building of Tallinn, with its Red Star on the top. Vilnius has the same but without the start.
It is a very strange feeling to see it, why they keep it? I remember politics were fighting strongly about the Soviet Soldier Memorial, which finaly moved far away from the center. But this star is still here, proudly standing face to the Stockhman shopping center.
Not far away from here is another interesting contrast, the old yellow Armenian church with the modern Seb Bank building.

The sailing port of Tallinn
I finally reach my destination after 15min of bus tour. The sea side of Pirita and its harbour at dust. I could admire the sun going down and all boats coming home. Also some fishers were enjoying the view, drinking and wiating for … fishes.

Walking by the sea to the center
Instead of taking a bus I came back by walk to the old town. Good way to think and to watch the Tallinn’s landscape at the sunset. I did it also because it was probably my last occasion to walk outside without feeling too cold 🙂
