Three nice towns of the Oise

0

I received at home my friend from Poland and wanted to show her the beauty of my region. Since I still have to work for few days I could only introduce her to some nice cities around.

First morning in Chantilly

For my first day I only had three hours to spend in the morning and decided to show to Weronika the beautiful castle of Chantilly. We didn’t have seen anything else than it and the Grandes Ecuries but she seemed to appreciate it. No need to tell that the view of the castle on the surrounding lake it awesome, especially in summer!

Longer morning

I could have my all morning for her second day in France and before leading her the station I showed her two other cute place I know.

Abbatial village of Saint Leu d’Esserent

Located very close to my village, Saint Leu (in its shortest form) has not a church but a large abbey on its hill. We spend about thirty minutes for visiting it and for walking in some street of the old town.

Romantic and royal Senlis

Saint Leu was just a bonus stop and we went by car to Senlis, the royal city I had a crush with it last time. The sky was grey and partly rainy but it didn’t prevent us to enjoy the two hours we gave to Senlis. Since I been there couples of weeks ago I remembered the most interesting spots and monuments to see. Cathedral, ruins if the Merovagian royal castle, Roman gate… Weronika has probably seen everything that deserved to be seen.

The atmosphere in the city, with its small street, pavements and old residences seduced her and finished to confirm me that this city has a high interest from tourists.
