The weather in Estonia is really crazy this autumn. One day is rainy and another is shiny. After class I decided to have a tour in the Vana Linn district of Tallinn.
Today is a good day
I went to the center after the class. The weather was so hot that it would have been pity to miss the probably last perfect and warm day in Tallinn before the next summer.I left my trolleybus at the Estonian National Library expecting make plenty of photo of it, but it was in renovation, I could not go on the terrasse.
Toompea, upper town of Tallinn
I am not the only person to think that Toompea is a special district. Necessary because of it’s history but also because it’s atmosphere. On the hill are not as much as tourist as in the center, unless you go to the main seeing point, but I preferred the opposite spot looking to Helsinki. That’s make the streets and the other part of Toompea quite! I like it.The Hermann tower was proudly showing the Estonian flag and the Alexender Nevsky Cathedral seen may people. I even think that I should go inside one day… I just think why I haven’t yet.
Vanalinn, lower town of Tallinn
The good day made me enjoy to take photo of Tallinn with a perfect light. I walk by the old defensive wall, following it and meeting each towers, until have reached the Fat Margaret, the largest tower on the north used now as Maritime Museum.I moved to Rakoja plats, the town hall square, to have a break and learn my Russian course in pub. The Mad Murphy (ex Moly Malone’s) was the place. After two hours I decided to go back to Mustamae, after searched for a pub a friend advised. I never found it.. but I have save a nice view of an old town street.
