After a first attempt of seeing the aurora in Estonia I got a better chance week later when I was able to see them with my own eyes for some minutes! This nights the Kp index became very high (suppose to be around 8).
It was by a cold night that a good notification appears to my phone, solar storm hit G2 and therefore this night the northern lights will be particularly visible. I got onto my bike and ride it until the Paljassaare peninsula.
I started to take photos alone, seeing some lights strips in the sky, when after one hour another person arrived to this spot also with a bike. We have been taking photos independently but began to talked to each other, making some photos and comparing. This guy was taking great quality photos with a fullframe camera, I tried to get inspired by his setting. By the way, check his website : http://laubaphoto.weebly.com
We attended a pick of activity before midnight and during few minutes the sky was greenish and no clouds blocked the view, that was perfection! Later we decided to leave together with our bike because nothing could be seen for half a hour. When suddenly the aurora started again we stopped and could make more photos from the parking lot! This conclude a good night and gave me many nice pictures to remember
