After the students day in the beginning of Summer, I return to Tartu to see the leaves falling down from trees in a cold and not so shiny city.
Finally I can
A short night and an early morning wake up. I said to Laura that I will be in Tartu from the morning. Yet I had to get one of the few Sunday morning buses to be at the coach station on time and buy there my ticket. It was difficult to continue my night in the bus, people including driver talking loudly.
Reaching my destination Laura picked me by car and we went to shop before leading to her home where we had our breakfast.
Nature is beautiful
A little before noon we start our walk to the city centre through many streets that were colorful, from green to red including yellow and orange. We have seen the local stadium and different nice ways. She shown me were the former Estonian prime minister lives, a simple house 🙂
Later on we walked along the Emajõgi (Mother River) and sat in a park. Sky stay grey but not rainy. Wen we passed again over the river by the en-lighted bridge we decided to look for a place to eat, and we found one. On the Town Hall square, not less than three café/restaurant in a row are named in French! But prices weren’t interesting and we preferred a German café were we had delicious quiche and kakao.
End of visit
We went to Kaubamaja and I bought my first bus ticket, local transportation cost for students 51 cents. Not 50 cents, how to make it simple.
We stayed at her home for lunch and playing Wii for couple of hours and were transferred to the train station before 7PM. I use for the first time the new train of the Estonian railway, it look pretty and are very large with five seats per row!
I left Tallinn at 8AM and came back only at 10PM! I don’t know if I was well rested but I didn’t feel to waste my time.
